I talked to Mocha’s breeder and to Mocha’s handler and we all decided the best thing for Mocha was to shave her down.  🙂  I’m sooooo happy, you have no idea.  Mocha is mentally very immature.  It will take her at least a year or longer to do any good in the AKC conformation ring.  She is also stocky, which is currently not in ‘fashion’ with AKC conformation. I’m not willing to maintain that hair for a year, then still not win due to her Russian bloodlines, all the while trying to get some performance titles on her.  After getting a green light from her breeder, Connie Hutchin’s of Highview Poodles, the hair is gone.

For those interested, Mocha’s breeder has a litter of Silver Standard Poodles ready for homes now.  There were 12 pups in this litter!!!  If you want a silver, I would jump at these pups in a heartbeat.  Connie Hutchin’s of Highview Poodles
