Georgie side shot- DAM of the litter

On June 9th, 2011 Georgie was inseminated with Tibby’s semen.  Ok, it is not very romantic, but hey it is better than missing her cycle yet again.  🙂  The timing was not ideal for anyone involved with this combination, so we decided to simply ship Tibby’s semen up to Georgie and have it surgically implanted for optimal results.  It arrived and was at 90% (almost as good as fresh from the source!) so we have great hopes for a large healthy litter of babies.

Georgie will go back to the vet in 4 weeks for an ultrasound.  If things look great, I will pick her up from Courtney’s home in Northwest Arkansas and bringing her back with me to Texas to finish her pregnancy and give birth.  They should be born the second week of August, for pups ready for homes in October.  We are so very excited about this litter.  Both parents are very stable and loving dogs who do therapy and have obedience titles.  Both dogs have moderate and what I consider more correct body structure than what you see on the average AKC conformation dog.  They do NOT have Ewe necks, they have fronts that are not completely upright, Tibby has nice bone structure rarely seen on boys these days, and both have correctly angled rears.  I plan to keep a puppy for myself from this litter, if that tells you anything about how much I like these two dogs (and the fact they are Merlot’s Great Grandpups!!).

Five pups are firmly spoken for with deposits in hand.  I will take more deposits once I have the ultrasound information, but only from people who are flexible on sex and color.  If your set on a girl OR a boy, I can’t take a deposit from you until the pups are born.  I have several firm request already and they will get first selection.
