We are pleased to announce the birth of 10 lovely puppies.  6 girls and 4 boys.   The event started yesterday at about 2:15pm and she finally finished up around midnight.  She is a calm and dedicated mother, so hopefully we will all survive this next week with most of our minds intact.  Being her second litter, she knows the drill and is less stressed than a first time mom.  I did get a couple hours sleep and I feel pretty good this morning.  I’m sure I will need a nap, but for now I am doing ok.  Billie has eaten two large meals, she is drinking well, and overall in excellent spirits.  The pups are warm and content.  With 10, I will probably supplement the smaller pups, but not pull them off mom.  These are not premature pups like Jazz had, all had good birth weights.

The birth order is as follows:

1. Female – 9 oz.  Black with white on rear toes, both feet.  tiny white blaze and above that a ity-bity little white chest spot.
2. Female – 10.5 oz.  Solid black
3. Male – 11.5 oz.  Solid black
4. Female – 11.5 oz.  Black with small white chest spot.
5. Male – 11.75 oz.  Solid black
6. Male – 10.75 oz.  Solid black
7. Female – 10.75 oz.  Black with white toes on left rear foot.
8. Female – 10.5 oz.  Solid black
9. Female – 12.75 oz.  Solid black
10. Male – 12 oz.  Solid black

The solid black pups have instant dry figure nail polish dabbed on different parts of their bodies so I can identify them for their growth charts.

These pups all have homes lined up, so no other applications will be taken for this litter.  Congrats to the folks who have been waiting!  I think we have a lovely bunch of babies!!!
