Video: Billie pups – first training

Wow, doing a training video with 10 pups is a day killer.  I spent about 10 minutes per puppy training them, so that’s 100 minutes right there.  Then I had to load it all on the computer and edit it down to a reasonable video length, so I watched the entire thing more than once.  I should have broken the video into groups with the boys, then 3 of the girls, then 3 of the other girls.  That would have allowed each video section to be longer.  As it is, I cut them down to about 5 minutes a puppy, some less if they were rock stars, some more if I wanted to show you something interesting.  I left Flynn a bit longer than I wanted, but he was first and I didn’t move along my training as quickly with him as I did the others.  Once I realized “Hey, I have 10 pups I have to get done today” I streamlined my training and order.  His video is by far the longest.  Regardless, It has taken about 5 hours to get this all finished if you add in editing time, upload time to YouTube, then adding in the names of each pup at each section once YouTube finished processing.  /WHEW

The video is long and if you are not getting one of these pups, this is probably not something you want to watch.  Again, next time I have a massive litter I’ll break the training into smaller groups.  My computer just about died during the saving process.  It shut down several times due to overheating.  At some point I am going to be forced to upgrade my computer.  I HATE upgrading my computer, so I always put it off far to long and then end up loosing information because the hard drive / CPU / etc failed before I backed up.  Anyway, enough whining.  Enjoy the show!  Oh and ignore my messy garage.  It’s been raining here for days and no sign it is going to stop until Saturday.  I decided the garage would have to do, poor lighting or no.  It still films better than inside my house.  This house is like a cave.
