Home Delivery Dog Food?

When you are a mom of twins, you have to find ways to streamline your day.  One great method is doing more shopping online.  When my good friend Gloria of Tintlet Poodles asked me if I knew of a high quality dry dog food that was easy to find in rural areas, I realized others might not know about home delivery options.

For a few years I have been using different direct shipping options for dog food.   The benefits to this service are many.

1.  You save money on gas.
2.  You can find a very high quality food that might not be available local.  I do not feed anything found at Petsmart / Petco as an example.
3.  You can avoid paying shipping and often taxes, depending on the state you live in.

The first service I used was Petflow.com  They cover a wide area of the US, and offer free shipping on $49.99 or above with the scheduled delivery service.  I set my deliveries to be every 6-8 weeks for 2 large bags of food.  Petflow carry’s high quality brands of food that are often hard to find locally.  I was extremely happy with my service, and my food always arrived with no issues.  Recently I switched to Wag.com because they were 3 dollars a bag cheaper for my food, offer the same free shipping (1-2 days shipping free), and have zero tax for my state.  Wag does not require a scheduled delivery, and has everything pet related you might need, not just dog food.  I am not sure if they service all rural area’s, but it only takes a minute to check your zipcode.  They offer 10% off your first order.

My suggestion is to check around, see if different dog food delivery sites carry your food, how much they charge in relation to your local store, how their services fit your needs, and if they offer a free shipping option.  Good Luck!
