OUR POOS

These are our wonderful Standard Poodles who are ALL AKC reg and some are also UKC reg.
Please Click on the Photo or the link to go to each of their pages.

Many of these poodles do not live here at Anutta Standard Poodles.
We have decided to allow others to raise some of our dogs in order to keep all our dogs as housedogs and beloved pets and not kennel dogs.  All dogs owned or co-owned by us are listed here.

All dogs health tested before being bred with OFA hips, thyroid, SA, vWD DNA, and CERF eyes done at a bare minimum.  All studs tested NE clear via DNA bloodwork.  Starting in 2008 all breeding dogs will also have their Elbows done for my own piece of mind since I do so much Agility with my dogs.  Better safe than sorry, though Elbows are not a big issues in Standards currently.

No female is ever intentionally bred before 2 years of age, most are not bred before 3 years.
No female has more than 3 litters for us.  Most have one-two litter in their lifetime.  All females are spayed by 6 years.

Males and most females have at least one title before being bred.  This could be in conformation (how they look), service (therapy or SAR), or working sports (obedience or Agility).  All poodles gain a title in something at some point, though with girls it might have to wait until they are spayed.  Coming into season causes issues with working sports and service work.

Our boys are kept IN our home, not in a 'stud room' or 'kennel'.  Poodles are very easy to train and learn quickly what is allowed and what isn't.  Levi, Merlot, and Flash were all here in my home and not once did any of them think about lifting his leg inside my house, even with girls in season!!  A breeder who keeps their studs out of their house is a breeder with no time to train and will usually have to many dogs to control properly.  It's easier to stick them in a kennel than to take the time to train them manners.

UKC CH JC Pioneer Tintlet's Ruffian CGC/TDI
"Ruffy"
Ruffian has come to live full time here at Anutta Poodles in Texas!

Ruffy is Levi's close cousin and has come to us for some Agility and Obedience training.  She's a funny girl and we are tickled to death to have her here.  Merlot is very very fond of Ruffy so it's a great match for our home.  (Merlot can be a tad hard to live with!).   Watch for her in 2008 in AKC agility!

Flash lives here  with us in Texas and is my personal Agility and Obedience boy.

He's just over a year and such a fabulous working dog.  Flash is 3/4 German lines and he's a hard core retriever.  He walks around with no less than 3 toys/bones in his mouth at all times.  Flash is small, standing only 19 inches and will be the foundation of our small line of Standard Poodles.  Please visit Flash's page for details on his temperament, health testing, and pedigree.

Living With Others!
(dogs currently being shown and apart of our breeding program)
These babies live with people who either co-own the dogs with us or 'foster' them for us for future breeding.  This allows all our dogs to be housedogs and get tons more attention than if they all lived with me in Colorado!

Amandi's Anutta Tough Cookie
"Biscotti"

Biscotti is being fostered by Stacey and her family in Arizona
(they co-own Rain with us who produced our Georgie and Zelda listed below) and they also have Major, one of our retired foundation sires.  We know Stacey will take excellent care of Biscotti and give her the attention we simply cannot with two newborn human babies!  Thank you Stacey for taking on this girl!  Her current goals are simply to grow up and socialize.  She will hit the UKC show ring later, as well as work towards AKC Agility and Obedience titles.  We have high hopes for this girl!

Biscotti has come to us from Amandi Standard Poodles.  She's AKC CH sired and we are simply delighted to have her as part of our program

***DOGS ENJOYING RETIREMENT***

(poodles in retirement and no longer used for breeding.  These dogs are the foundation for our line)

Our Poodles AT WORK!!
Learn a little about the activities our Poodles work at.  Obedience, Agility, Hunting, and Search and Rescue are all shown here!  Here at Anutta Poodles we believe a real poodle is one who can do anything and not simply look 'pretty' in conformation.  Many breeders only show their dogs in Conformation and sneer at people who focus on working aspects.  I find this funny since they send off their dogs with handlers and spend little to no time with them.  You can't do that when training obedience or agility.  You must spend 100s of hours training your dog to quality in agility and obedience.  That's the reason I focus on pet or working homes for my dogs since I know they will have time spent with them.
