Puppies Born January 10th, 2008 in Tucson AZ!!

6 puppies total.  1 Dark Girl and 5 Dark Boys!

All pups have homes.

(Dark Male) Rowdy- Lives in Greeley CO.  Is going to do Agility and Obedience.

(Dark Male) Jax- Lives in Penrose, CO.  Is going to do SAR, Obedience, and Agility

(Dark Male) Booray- Lives in Woodland Park, CO.  Is going to be a great pet who might try some Obedience and Agility.

(Dark Male) Dax- Lives in Westminster, CO.  Is going to be a beloved pet.

(Dark Male) Charlie-  Lives in Denver, CO.  Is going to do Therapy. 

(Dark Female) Zelda-  Part of our Foster program.  Is going to be Junior handled and do Agility, Rally, and Obedience.

This litter was born and will be raised in AZ at Rain's home with Stacey and the two little girls in charge of playing with the puppies!  We will travel to AZ when the pups are 8 weeks old to temperament test the litter and bring all the puppies back with me to CO for placement. 

LITTER will be Temperament Tested on March 8 and brought back to Colorado on March 9th for placement.

  1. TEMPERAMENT.  VERY Friendly, outgoing, loving, high drive but knows when to shut it down and lay happily in my lap for attention.  Very very stable temperament.  Has never met a stranger.  When he was introduced to my horses for the first time, he licked them on the nose!!  What a pistol!  He has more retrieving drive than any poodle I have met.  When he attempts something he does it with all his heart and soul.  A great dog!

  2. CONFORMATION:  His front is outstanding which allows him to move with fluid grace and work nonstop all day. His head type is very European with a shorter muzzle and wider backskull.  Ears are a little high and tail set a little low and his eye color is a lighter brown and more round than I like.  However, he has a very very nice working body and can go all day without stop and can outrun every large standard here.  It will be interesting to see what he produces with  Rain

  3. SIZE: He is going to be a very small male.  Currently 19.75 inches at 1.5 year

  4. HEALTH: Just turned 2 years mid Sept 2007. CERF normal Sept 2007, vWD clear, SA normal, Patellas and Elbows Normal, NE normal.  OFA fair hips.  Will only be used on OFA good or excellent females.

DAM: Anutta Showers of Blessings CGC/Therapy Dog

 

  1. TEMPERAMENT.  Confident, friendly, an active Therapy Dog who knows how to smooze with people of all ages.  A nice stable temperament and great with kids.  She can be pushy with other dogs but she isn't aggressive in any way.  Loves water and good swimming ability.  She is a typical Merlot puppy.  He stamps his personality on all his pups.  Rain is no exception to this issue!  They have tons of personality and with the right family they make exceptional pets.  All are exceptionally smart dogs, very much the free thinker. 

  2. CONFORMATION: Has her fathers classic wycliffe poodle head.    Her angles need work since she has a very Straight and narrow front and not a lot of angle in her rear either.  Flash should help in this department.

  3. SIZE: Mid size female, around 23 inches

  4. COLOR: Rain is a solid Blue

I'm excited to see what these two produce.

Temperaments should be suitable for Working and Pet homes.  Will be on the smaller size at around 20-23 inches at most.
