Health Issues To date with Litter (as of July 2007- only 6 months old):

Hudson:  (Dark Blue Male) Doing well.  Typical puppy.  Lives in NM

Wilson:  (Dark Blue Male) Also doing good.  Had an umbilical hernia that was repair when he was neutered.  Lives in Aurora CO.

Amy: (Blue Female)  Some submissive peeing, but other than that, good.  Lives in MD

Georgie (Blue Female) FOSTER girl who might be part of our breeding program if she grows up well.  Lives in Arkansas.  Doing great.

Sophie (Blue Female) Doing great.  putting gray hairs in her Standard Poodle older brother.  Lives in PA

Lapa (Blue Female) Had some illness as a young pup.  Adverse reaction to vaccinations and a puppy bladder infection.  Lives in CO

Baxter (Silver Male) Doing good.  Big and healthy.  Lives in Boulder CO with Sadie
 

Only one female was kept intact for breeding.  Georgie.  Only time will tell if she makes the grade.

This litter was born and raised in AZ at Rain's home with Stacey and the two little girls in charge of playing with the puppies!  We traveled to AZ when the pups were 8 weeks old to temperament test the litter and bring all the puppies back with me for placement.

  1. TEMPERAMENT.  Friendly, loving, Laidback attitude.  He reminds me so much of Major it's scary.  Very calm, very sweet, very gentle.  He wouldn't hurt a soul and you can take him anywhere!  He's a quick learner and has very good retrieving drive.  He's been here with me for about a month and he gets along great with all the other dogs including Flash and Merlot.  He is NOT dominant at all and is very happy to just be with his people and play with his toys and not get into trouble.  He isn't as 'smart' as Rain (thus he gets in a lot less trouble), but he is very trainable and willing to do anything you ask.  A lovely boy all around.

  2. CONFORMATION: Outstanding.  His body is to die for and his chest and front are an improvement on my foundation.  He has a more 'northern east coast" head very much like Major's which is heavier than what you see on the west coast generally.  Eyes are a bit round and set wide but I'm nitpicking.

  3. SIZE: He is a mid size male at 25 inches

  1. TEMPERAMENT.  Dominant, confident, Higher drive than Levi.  A nice stable temperament and great with kids.  Pushy with other dogs.  Loves water and good swimming ability.  She is a typical Merlot puppy.  He stamps his personality on all his pups.  Not a shy one in the bunch, though some are a bit obstinate, suspicious, and hard headed. Rain is no exception to this issue!  However, they have tons of personality and with the right family they make exceptional pets.  All are exceptionally smart dogs, very much the free thinker.  We shall see if Rain passes on these traits to her pups!

  2. CONFORMATION: Has her fathers classic wycliffe poodle head but a better eye than Levi.    Her angles need work since she has a very Straight and narrow front and not a lot of angle in her rear either.  Levi should help in this department.

  3. SIZE: Mid size female, around 23 inches

  4. COLOR: Rain is a solid Blue
