Stacey called to ask me if taking the babies outside would be ok. I said
Yes as long as the weather is not to cold or to hot. It was a stunning day
in AZ so they enjoyed a few mins of play outside and some nice photos. It
is much easier to get good photos of puppies outside in the natural sunshine.
Most of the photos on my website are taken outside for that reason, even tho my
dogs are all spoiled rotten housedogs. Enjoy!

![]() First Born Pup #1 now has on the red, bone print collar. . |
Second Born![]() She is now wearing the pink collar. While she is still a little more pushy than most of the other pups, she is VERY affectionate (with us and with Rain and the other pups). She does seem to have leader qualities even now. Maybe she was just the first to find her voice, because now most of the pups are growling and barking in play, and sometimes it seems just to hear themselves do it. They act like it’s kind of neat to know you can make a sound like that! |

![]() Third Born This one is now wearing a blue collar. We call him Nate. He is so cute when you hold him like a baby on his back! He loves to be talked to and have his belly scratched. He seems to really be listening and enjoying the conversation. |
Fourth Born![]() She is now wearing a paw print collar. She is the “guard dog”, and we call her Amy. I say she is a guard dog because for the past two days she acts like it is her responsibility to check the perimeter of the whelping box. She sniffs the whole way and occasionally growls or stops to look up and bark. When she finishes she steps back from the edge and gives a few good warning to barks to anyone who may be intruding. I can just imagine her little mind working like my daughter’s did when they were toddlers thinking that they were really accomplishing some important task. She is still very sweet and seems very confident. Could be a leader in the pack. |

Fifth Born:![]() She is now wearing the black collar (so you might not see it in future pictures since it blends in so well with her fur). We still call her “Two Toes”, and she is still probably the sweetest puppy. She loves to play the “baby” like her brother and just be held, is never pushy, but seeks out play more than most of the others. She always looking for someone to romp with, and I don’t think I ever see her sleeping by herself. She needs to be close and cuddle with her siblings, But like I said she is the most active, and will quit nursing to play someone else who is finished or snuggle with mom. We had to take the most pictures of her to get a good face shot (quite wiggly until I held her like a baby). |
Sixth Born![]() She is now wearing the solid red collar. We call her “Little Girl”, even though she is one of the biggest, since she has such a sweet attitude. I must say she and “Two Toes” run neck and neck for sweetness. She is also very cuddly and I never see her sleeping alone either. I LOVE the markings on her front paw (just like Levi’s toes), and she has the largest white mark on her chest of the 3 who have white marks on their chests. I must admit though, she not as bright as her sisters. As soon as her nose hits the paper, she thinks she has arrived and doesn’t realize that her bottom is still on the blanket and she pees on the blanket more than anyone else in the bunch. Blonde roots?

![]() Sixth Born: Female- Dark w/large white chest mark and right front paw white We took them outside for the first time today, and she liked the change less than anyone in the group. She hardly stopped crying the whole time we were out there, and fell asleep as soon as she was piled with siblings back inside her box. But I did mention that she is VERY SWEET though, right? Now that I think about it, this kind of reminds me of Levi. He hated to be kenneled at my house and ALWAYS wanted to be with one of us or Rain (if she’d let him). hehe |
![]() Seventh Born: Male- black w/ small white blaze on chest |
Seventh Born![]() He is the explorer, so Morgan calls him David Livingstone, or Davy for short. He loves to play, but is content to lay down and sleep by himself. He has great interaction with the other pups, Mommy, and us. He and Nate seem to like to play with each other best right now and sometimes work together to get their siblings playing. |
