Sadie is now a Therapy Dog with her new mom in Aurora CO!! 

By the age of almost 5 years, Sadie had produced 2 wonderful litters.  Since we were able to find nice girls from both litters to carry on the tradition, Sadie was allow to move into retirement and was spayed.   We were not looking for a home for Sadie, but when Barb contacted us in 2004 asking if we knew of any adult poodles who might fit her home I instantly thought of Sadie.  Barb needed a very polite and gentle dog on the smaller side that she could handle.  Not hyper and she really didn't want to raise a puppy.  She has some joint issues so a dog that was fully leash trained was a must. 

I told her about Sadie, that I wasn't looking for a home for Sadie, but that I would consider her if Sadie thought it was a good idea.  You see, Sadie was and is a gentle soul.  Living in this home with Merlot was actually not what she wanted.  I believe now it kept her in a state of stress most of the time.  I can honestly tell you that Sadie has blossomed under Barbs care and when they came to visit Sadie's grand-pups last year, she never looked back when Bard said "ok Sadie, lets go home!"  Hopped right in the car and was ready to go to her home.  I couldn't ask for a better place for Sadie to spend the rest of her days.  Thanks again Barb for taking such excellent care of this special girl.

She is a joy to live with and quite the clown.  She is a lap dog, loving nothing more than to curl up in your lap for a good petting!

1. TEMPERAMENT.  Soft, Loving, Gentle, mostly Willing to please but must be very soft in training.  NO retrieving drive, but tons of hunt drive. Pups would do well in show and pet environments, with light working.  Her Temperament is not suitable for high end working. Protective and somewhat fearful of new environments.  Very easy to live with. Adores kids.  A "Sadie No" in a normal tone will stop ALL bad behavior and raising your voice will crush her.  Perfect for most pet homes.  You think of a "Poodle" that is Prim and Proper, you think of Sadie!!

2. CONFORMATION: Head is nice but has a rounded eye. Very light boned all over.  Straight Shoulders, need a slightly deeper chest and a bit more angles in the rear.  Things to note: Soft coat that mats easy.  Tail set is off, due to it being broken.

3. SIZE: Small bitch at 21 inches. 

4. HEALTH: Extremely healthy.  Has passed all health test to date.  Never an ear infection or anything.  Bad habit of eating small stuffed toys and socks.

5. COLOR- Sadie is a Silver.  Depending on who she is bred to, she can produce Blacks, Blues, Silvers, Whites, and Creams.
