This litter is now almost 5 years old as of Sept 2007. Some health background so far from puppy
owners.
Jackie "ANUTTA JACKPOT": Was kept for foster program but had one canine go off when she got her adult teeth in. So we had her spayed and retired. Haven't heard from jackie's mom in several years. Please contact me for an update on her health please.

Elvira 'Anutta Mistress of the Dark' : Doing great. Healthy as a horse. Active Therapy Dog
Derek "Anutta Chien Creme Demarquis: had an episode of seizures at age 3 and contacted us Jan 2007 to let us know. Has been seizure free for over a year and has never been on any medications for the issue. His owners are convinced it was the food he was eating (he was on a purina food) and started feeding him human cooked meals. He's doing great with no issues and their vet is following his diet closely to make sure it remains balanced. We are very sad to hear about his issue, but happy his owners contacted us and have found a way to treat the issue that doesn't include tossing medication at him. Derek had an umbilical hernia as a puppy but it was repair when he was neutered. I will continue to update his progress as time goes by.
Boo 'Anutta Devyne Trick Or Treat': Very healthy boy. Some ear infections when he was young but been good for years now. Active in Agility, Therapy, Obedience, and Conformation.
Radar (NOT REGISTERED): Totally healthy and spoiled!
Ozzie 'Anutta Ozark Traveler': Last I heard he was doing great. Had one ear infection when he was
a pup.
Dia: I haven't heard from Dia's parents in a very long time. Last I
heard she was doing good. PLEASE contact me if you see this, your email
and phone numbers no longer work.
Tori: Dam of litter, developed skin allergies after this litter was weaned and so was spayed and placed in a pet home. I am unsure if the hormone change after having the pups was the issue or the move to AZ or a combination of both. Regardless, we decided it was better to spay her than to risk producing pups with skin issues. So far, no skin issues have been reported with this litter.
Boo is intact but has never been bred as of Sept 2007. ALL other pups altered
and in pet homes.

First, let me begin by saying this was NOT a planned pregnancy. During our move, Tori was in high season, ready to be bred. I did not want Christmas pups this year, because I wanted to go home for the holidays and when you have pups, things like that are not possible. Well, I was lucky enough to have 4 movers, with only one speaking any English at all and his was not good. I told them I had moved everything from the back yard that they were taking, into the garage. Well, it seems as though I did not get my point across. They took it upon themselves to check anyway. In the process, they allowed Merlot and Tori to get together. My luck being as it is, only one breeding has resulted in a very pregnant Tori. I had planned on doing this breeding, so it is not a tragic thing. However, I wanted Tori to have her OFA first as well as maybe a title or at least working towards one. Such is life. I did have her x-rayed by the vet and all looked good but she was 2 months shy of 2 years so I only have a prelim.

MERLOT: Sire and number one poodle of my home. He is MY dog. The love of my life, even if he is a bit moody and can be a pain. I spoil him more than the rest and he knows it. HEALTH: OFA Fair, CERF normal two years running, SA normal, vWD clear, Thyroid normal. He is a Black and 3 years old end of this month. He goes back to generations of health tested dogs and I know his lines pretty well. He is a picky eater, and has had a couple of ear infections in his life. He has hair growing deep down in his ears, which is the cause. Have to stay on top of the ears and he is good to go. He has a low pain tolerance and when he is sick at all, he walks around like he is dying. Reminds me of my husband. hehe. TEMPERAMENT: Loving, Devoted, Protective, too smart for his own good. He can be Pushy and demanding for attention. Merlot is a thinker and sometimes he over thinks a situation. I ask him to do something, and he will think of all the options, I just have to hope he decides the same thing I am thinking. He is funny. He loves to make me laugh. He is strong willed and the dominant dog of the house. He can be a jerk, and he can be a lover all in the same hour. He keeps me entertained for sure. STRUCTURE: He is not as nice as Tori. Much more flashy than she is, but she is actually the more correct dog. Overall, they compliment each other well. His coat and texture is far better than hers. His ear length and set are better. His eyes are more correct, hers are too round, etc. They are a good match and should produce some nice well rounded pups. Both have good working drive. |

TORI: This is the mom of the litter. HEALTH WISE: She is Cream and turned
two on the 6th of Oct. I had her CERFed and she is normal and is neg for vWD. Haven't gotten her SA
back yet. The GDC is in the process of merging their database with OFA for
the SA test, so they are backlogged at the moment. I do not expect any
issues at all. OFA will be done the first of the year.
TEMPERAMENT: Tori is great. She is not dominant, good with people, kids,
other dogs. She is eager to please and has a LOT of drive to work. I have
only had her 3 months, because her owner had some heath issues. She has
become my second favorite poodle. She is loving and gentle. Loves nothing
better than to lay on the couch with me and snuggle. She will fetch a ball
all day long, but when you are tired of playing, she is ok with that as
well. She was not socialized as much as my poodles, so she isn't as
outgoing with strangers as my crew. However, she is learning and really
starting to warm up to folks much quicker. BODY STRUCTURE: She has a more
working style body. Her neck is not as upright as the show dogs, giving her
a much stronger front end. She is very correct in her angles and entire
body. I love her look. It is a healthy, correct look and should produce
some nice dogs who will be sound for many many years. She also has nice
typy head. She looks like a well bred standard and she is. All you could
want in a poodle. |
