Sunday morning early I drove out to Chattanooga to meet with Gloria and Kelsey to pick up the babies. They traveled really well and after 24 hours have settled in like this is their home. They slept through the night in a pen in the living room, which has access to the back yard via a doggy door. When I got up at 6AM this morning, the entire group had already been outside to potty and were having a big time playing in the dew damp grass. Such smart babies! Needless to say, I am happy with their intelligence and clean nature. They all napped in the pen next to the couch while we watched TV last night, but right before bed I woke up the lot and called them back outside for a quick potty. They all did great, so potty training is well started with this group.
During their morning nap, I was able to rouse them enough for a quick photo shoot. They really REALLY didn’t want to wake up, but it made for puppies who were willing to stay away from the camera. The light was coming in the living room windows, softened by the porch overhang, so it made for some pretty shots.
I also took some video of the babies yesterday right after they arrived. Watch the video and note how stressed out they seem (HAHA). They really walked in like they owned the place, and thought the kids were the best thing ever invented!
Aptitude testing will occur sometime over the next 24 hours, so watch for a blog update tomorrow.

I DON’T KNOW IF YOU KNOW MY NAME BUT I NOW HAVE COREY IN MY HOME AND AFTER 30 YEARS OF BREEDING CHAMPION TERRIERS, CAIRNS, MANCHESTER, AND WIRES PLUS A COUPLE OF GOLDEN LITTERS. I RESEARCHED ALOT, CALLED MY OLD HANDLER WHO I AM EXTREMELY CLOSE TO EVEN TODAY AND DECIDED ON A STANDARD POODLE. AFTER MAKING NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS I FOUND GLORIA PRACTICALLY IN MY BACKYARD. WE LIVE 30 MILES FROM EACH OTHER. I AM A RETIRED DISABLED EMERGENCY PHYSICIAN AND I UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR SPOUSE IS AL SO A PHYSICIAN . ANYWAY COREY IS ONE OF THE NICEST DOGS I HAVE OWNED AND IS A DOG THAT IS ALWAYS TRYING TO PLEASE ME. HE IS AL SO VERY TERRITORIAL AND WANTS TO GUARD HIS HOME. I LIKE THAT BECAUSE WE LIVE IN THE WOODS. WE ARE WORKING ON THERAPY DOG CERT BUT HE ALREADY GOES TO SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHURCH WITH US AND VISITS PEOPLE WHO ARE SICK OR HOMEBOUND WITH ME. THE CHURCH GOERS LOVE HIM AND WANTS HIM AT MOST OF OUR FUNCTIONS. HE IS ALREADY GIVING THEM SOMETHING THEY NEED. NICE TO MEET YOU AT LEAST IN A BLOG.
Thank you so much for the update on Corey! He is one of the most mentally stable Standard Poodles I have ever known and the major reason I wanted to breed him to Ziva. This litter has been amazing in both temperament and body structure!! We are sooooo pleased to have these Corey babies. Thank you for keeping Mr. Corey intact and allowing us to use him with Ziva girl. 🙂
