What do Poodle people do when they hear about a fellow breeder in a difficult situation?  They help them out and relieve some stress.  I’ve done it several times, so when my friend, Jama Britton, contacted me about one of her dogs I decided to give her some time to chat and see what exactly was going on.  As we all know life sometimes hits us like a rock.  Jama is in one of those moments.  She and her family are moving into a new home this week going from the Houston area to San Marcos.  She had an accident last month that ripped her knee to a point where it will require surgery, and she doesn’t have the time or ability to get that done yet.  Yes, the move is part of it, but far more time consuming is her current litter of pups!! She has 6 Standard Poodle babies that just turned 12 weeks of age that need loving pet homes.

Jama contacted me about some board and train options for her stud, Hank.  This boy is beautiful, but he needs some training.  Jama has several girls in season, so sending him off for training seemed like the best option to cut down on some stress.  After talking with her and thinking it over, I felt there was a better situation.  I can’t take in an intact male with my tenuous situation between River and Cody.  Sure, Hank could use some manners and I suggested a good board and train center in Austin who could help, but honestly he isn’t the time sink.  That title would fall directly on those puppies.

Breeding dogs isn’t easy.  A litter of puppies will take over your home and life.  When I asked how the pups were doing she opened up about how few buyers she had, how overwhelmed she felt (rightly so!), and how much time those pups needed that she simply didn’t have to give.  I stayed up last night thinking about those sweet babies.  I remembered how offering to take Connie’s litter, which resulted in me keeping my beloved Cody, took so much stress off her during her move to Florida.  Sometimes exceptional breeders find themselves in a bind.

Today I sent her a Facebook message asking if she would like me to take the babies.  I’d take care of grooming, training, loving, socializing, vetting, feeding, and finding them homes.  She jumped on it.  I think it was the right decision for both her own health and the future of those pups.
So, there ya have it.  Sometime this week an outstanding litter of babies will be making their way from Houston to San Antonio.  I’ll be taking a few days to evaluate their personalities and get them settled in.  Be ready for tons of photos and videos!!  They are current on shots and worming, so once I get a feel for their personalities I will be placing them up for adoption.  If you have an application on file and want to be considered for these young dogs, please contact me.  If you do not have an application, but would like to be considered please place an application so I can move forward.  There are 4 boys (3 cream and white parti’s, 1 silver and white) and 2 girls (both blue and white) available.  All the creams will fade to a white color, so keep that in mind.  The mother is Jama’s girl Bessie, who I just happen to have aptitude tested as a baby!!  This is Bessie’s 3rd litter and she has been a wonderful mom.  The sire is Jama’s boy Hank.  Both are health tested.

I will place the pups on my contract, but provide Jama each buyers information.

This is probably one of the only times you will see Parti Poodles here at Anutta.  I don’t breed for them, but I have no issue with other breeders who do.  If you have always wanted a Parti, time to jump on it!!  I don’t breed whites either, so again this is your chance to get a beautiful light Poodle.  I’m familiar with the pedigree’s and feel confident backing these babies with my personal health guarantee.

EMAIL ME with any questions.  APPLICATION CAN BE FOUND HERE.
