I managed to get the pups fully groomed today and kept fairly clean until Keith made it home so we could snap some photos.  However, he was home late and by the time we finished dinner, the light was fading fast.  I decided to go with some cute photos tonight and some ‘formal’ front and side shots for my personal records tomorrow morning.  Hopefully they won’t get TOO dirty while they sleep.  No promises on that though, they did manage to dig a few holes and get dirty paws in less than an hour outside playing this evening.

With everything I do, this was a mix of blog update and training.  🙂  They learned how to sit and down on the table.  Keith was right there, ready to catch any who attempted to jump, and more than a few did!  We did single puppy shots first, so they all learned they couldn’t leave the top of the table by themselves.  Once they had that concept, we moved to the group shots.  I should have them sitting nicely in a row for the next round of photos, in a few days.  They are already getting the concept that I like sitting or downing much better than anything else they offer for attention.

JAY’s INFO: For any home interested in adopting, Jay light blue in color, very smart, independent boy who is still very loving and kind.  He has great working drives, lots of both prey and play drive, also he is already an avid retriever.  He forgives easily if corrected or if you make a mistake in training.  Someone who is experienced in dog training and looking for a dog who is active and fun would be best.  He would excel in Hunting, Agility, SAR, and other sports, as well as Therapy, Rally, and Tracking.  He is one of those pups who could do it all with the right handler.  If you think Jay might be the right puppy for you, contact me!

Adopt fee is $1500.00 with limited AKC papers and a neuter agreement.

Georgie and River, November 2011

Georgie is the Dam of this litter and is a lovely blue.  River is the Sire and is a holding black.  Photo taken November 2011

This litter will be suitable for competition, therapy, and beloved pets.  Both parents are extremely stable dogs with great typical poodle temperaments.  Georgie is a large female and River is a mid size male (slightly smaller than Georgie).  Puppies should mature 50-65lbs and be 24-27 inches tall.

PEDIGREE FOR GEORGIE X RIVER LITTER

The average Coefficient of Inbreeding for a Standard Poodle is 15%.  This litter is 2.02%.  The lower the number, the lower the inbreeding.
Genetic information for Test breeding GerogiexRiver from PoodlePedigree.com website:

The COI (Coefficient of Inbreeding) is calculated up to a maximum of 12 generations. The COI is calculated entirely from the pedigree information present in the database, so if there are inaccuracies in the pedigree, there will also be inaccuracies in the COI. I try to run the COI every Friday. If there is an error on Friday that means I will have to correct the error and rerun the coi on Saturday. For information on what the COI figure means, see http://www.canine-genetics.com/relation.htm, particularly where it discusses the inbreeding coefficient. For a more complete discussion of genetic principles, visit the Canine Diversity Project.
