It has been a week of first for the babies! They had their first face shave, are eating solid foods, and took their first stroll outside! These guys all took it in stride. They are confident, sweet babies, and their personalities are already starting to shine through. Sue has increased their puppy pen to allow for a tunnel and some play area, now that the pups are more mobile. It is important for them to be able to interact with new things daily for the next few weeks, to insure they go home confident and calm.
Sue made a great video this week and introduced each of the babies. The end of the video is their first adventure outside. They did excellent for their first time touching grass and smelling all those new smells! Not a single one was hiding or sitting around howling to be picked up. In one more week they will be running around like they own the farm!
I believe Sue has one male available to the right home. The pups will be placed according to their strengths and how well they match each home, so until they are closer to 7 weeks of age, we cannot tell which of the boys will be available.
Both parents are UKC Champions and Libby has her Rally 1 title and hunts upland with her owners. Libby’s litter is being raised by her mom, Sue Braaten, near Salina, Kansas. These babies will NOT be coming to Texas for training, as it is highly likely we will be traveling during the holiday season 2018. Smart, active girl who has produced one litter prior. This will be Libby’s second and last litter. Sue will be keeping pick female for herself, but all other babies will be available as pets to the right homes on AKC LIMITED REGISTRATION. Stud contract states NO PUPPY will be sold unlimited.

Ashes live in Ohio and is bred and owned by Rebekah of Shyre Poodles. He is an outlier male with diverse bloodlines and paired well with Libby using the UC Davis diversity DNA testing tools on Better Bred. According to the data Libby and Ashes are unrelated, so Sue, Rebekah, and I hope this litter will produce some outstanding healthy dogs. Ashes is a sweet, calm male who should provide a great temperament balance to Libby’s more outgoing nature.
