Mabel has come into season a month early!  I will be driving Cody to Arkansas this weekend.  Courtney will be keeping my brown clown for the next few weeks until the deed is done.  Our attempt last year to breed Mabel ended in a false pregnancy.  She wasn’t thrilled about the stud choice or the fact she needed to let this strange dog anywhere near her lady parts.  So, while these two are not the most diverse together and we try to always breed with diversity first, we are still going to do this breeding to show Mabel puppies can be fun and boys are not all yucky.

Temperament wise:  We should get a mix of moderate to higher drive pups who would do excellent in active, social homes.  Pets, performance prospects, and even conformation homes welcome.  This is not the best litter for service dogs.  Both dogs love to retrieve and are very very kind hearted.  Neither are dominant.  Both Mabel and Cody are cat safe, so home with kitties are welcome.  We expect moderate prey drive which can be channeled to performance sports or fun family activies.    Both Mabel and Cody can safely be let off leash, so both have great trust and dedication to their owners.   If you have a family and are looking for a family friendly litter, this combo will hit the mark.

Size:  Cody is mid size and all his litter mates are small to mid size.  Mabel is larger for a female.  All her litter mates are mid to large in size.  This means, we will not be able to guarantee size.  We could get pups who mature anywhere from 23-27 inches at the shoulders.

Colors:  Blacks and Blues ONLY.  Cody doesn’t carry cream.  Mabel doesn’t carry brown.  This leaves us with blacks and maybe blues who fade late.  I will not be able to guarantee holding blacks, because Cody did fade at 2 years of age.  His pups might fade to blue / grayish color as well.

If you are looking for a dark puppy with a love of life, this might be the litter for you!

PURCHASE PRICE: $2200.00  We have increased our puppy price by $200.00.  While we like to keep our prices low, we also must charge enough to stay breeding.  Adding in new dogs, having several failed litters, and one dog with serious major surgery has cost us a small fortune over the last year.  We must increase puppy price to move forward.
