Mabel and Cody pups: Week five videos.
We had a little drama this week. Jack, one of the male pups, had some trouble learning how to eat and threw up a couple times during his first few meals. This led to several trips to the vet and a diagnosis of pneumonia! After labs, x-rays, antibiotic shots, fluids, nebulizer treatments, he recovered and is doing great! I was paranoid it was something more serious, but thankful Courtney was so on the ball to get it treated so quickly. The videos were taken Friday and Saturday and he is doing great. No other pups have come down with his issue, so we feel sure it was aspiration pneumonia. Silly boy has figured out how to eat now and all is good!
Their personalities are starting to shine. Courtney says they are the sweetest bunch of babies ever! Her week was a bit stressful, having to do 24 hour a day care on an exceedingly small, sick boy, but she did a quick face shave and these videos on Friday and Saturday for everyone to see. I’m so thankful for her support and care of these guys.
We are still trying to firm up a date on pickup. I put it on hold until Jack was healed up. No way we were going to move him if he was still sick. Now that all is well, we can decide a firm date, which will be sometime between the 12th-19th.
