Alemir's River of Dreams AKA "RIVER"

Our River boy turned 2 years old!!  Time to start his health testing.  🙂

Gracie and River

Thanks Sue for the cute photos of both him and Gracie.  For those who do not know, River lives with Sue and her family in MN.  Sue is training River for Rally Obedience and will hit the show ring this summer.  Almost all of our dogs live with other people.  Why?  Because if I allow others to raise and train these dogs, they get to have a family, be house dogs, and only have one or two other dogs living in the home with them.  The typical breeder needs to have a fair number of dogs, both girls and boys, to continue to produce pups.  What happens when a girl is to old to have any more litters?  They must either find them a home or keep a house full of aging dogs.  The way I breed is to place dogs like River, the best of the best, in homes who will work them in a sport, and then allow me to use them for breeding if they mature nicely.  Everyone wins!  The dog NEVER has to find a new home during it’s lifetime, I don’t have a house full of dogs living here (so I am not known as the crazy dog lady!!) The dogs all get the care and devotion they deserve and I get to keep a few here, watching them grow old and having the memories of a full lifetime.

It is a great option for those who breed dogs.
