Now that the litter is here and we have 12 healthy babies, I am probably going to end up “fostering” one of these girls.  The initial plan was to have Allison in Austin foster a girl for me, but she has Code’s sister, Betty, and now feels a male would be a much better choice.  I tend to agree, as Betty is a pushy girl.  She needs a sweet male to push around.

That being said, I am seeking someone in the San Antonio area willing to keep a girl intact for future breeding.  I am only interested in someone near San Antonio, so I can show this girl.  The home will not be responsible for showing, which is why I am seeking only SA homes.  You might need to bring her to my home for training, photo sessions, show grooming, but otherwise not much hassle.  The grooming alone will save you $100’s of dollars and your dog will look really nice!

What is fostering?  Please read this link fully. ANUTTA POODLE FOSTER PROGRAM  .  In short, you keep a girl intact for breeding, allow me to pay for her health testing and breed her, let her come to me to have the litter, then when she is finished having pups you get her spayed.  Generally this is about age 5-6.  You get the best pup in the litter at a much reduced rate ($500.00 fee).

If you are local to San Antonio and find this option interesting, contact me.  I have people you can speak to about how the program works.  Heather is local and has fostered two dogs for me.  Kerry is in Austin and has fostered one.  They can give you an idea of how much work is involved and how it is to work with me as a breeder.  I’m pretty reasonable and if any health issues crop up, the dog will be spayed and never bred.  Right now this is tentative, there might not be a suitable girl… but I really need someone lined up and ready if these girls turn out as nice as I hope.

Help support purebred breeders by fostering!  It is the future of dog breeding and the only way we will be able to produce high quality dogs for generations to come in a safe and humane manner.
