Only 3 pups are still available and I have only had them a week. Believe me, these babies are lovely both inside and out.

I put together a short video of the pups doing their first leash training. I do not believe these babies have had any prior experience on a leash and I think they all did incredible. I tossed in a very tiny bit at the end with some sit and down work, but it was brief and more to see how food motivated they were using luring techniques. I have not started them with the clicker and have only briefly used “YES” as my conditioned reinforcer.
The first puppy was Henry. He is a sweet, gentle, soft boy who would do best in a laid back home and lifestyle. He is willing to learn, and would absolutely love to fill someone’s lap. He is everything someone looks for in a Standard Poodle, but I will not allow him to go to someone seeking a high end sport dog. With some socialization he could be a great therapy prospect or do some rally and maybe agility to build confidence. When I am in their pen, outside with them, or if he is in the same room as I am loose in the house he is right next to me. He isn’t a big explorer and I think he would do great in a home with one other calm dog or as an only dog. He will be super easy to teach off leash manners! A busy household with a lot going on isn’t really his speed.
The second puppy I trained was Maria. Maria is a FUN puppy. She isn’t dominant, as you can see from her low tail wagging and appeasing attitude during the entire training. She REALLY wants to interact, but she doesn’t want you to think she is trying to move up the social ladder. She can be a little excited with new people and tries to climb up and kiss and paw. We are working on keeping 4 feet on the floor. Maria would do well in a household with kids and activities. She would do well with other dogs. She is very motivated to please, but she is soft. Only mild corrections will be needed to train this lovely lady. Maria can go to anyone seeking a nice pet or performance prospect if trained with hands off methods like clicker training and allowing her to work out what you would like her to try. A more classic trainer would shut this baby down. She could be a therapy dog with some mental maturity and training, due to her eagerness to please and rule following attitude.
The last puppy I worked was the light cream male, Ivan / Alexander… depending on if you are talking to me or Jama!! I’m just going to start calling him Ivan, because I did on this video. I know it is hard to keep straight!! His brother is leaving tomorrow, so that confusion will be over. Anyway, this puppy is my sort of baby. He is outgoing, fun loving, confident, a little pushy, and SUPER SMART. Look at his body language in the video vs his siblings. This guy could do it all from high end performance to simply being an incredible pet. He is a touch independent, so a home with no other dogs and a family who worked would be perfectly fine. He loves kids and people more than other dogs, but he is good with my Poodles and has excellent doggy communication skills. He is usually the one brave enough to run with my pack when they get to playing. This puppy picks up on new things quickly and needs an experienced Poodle owner if possible.
