I believe these puppies will be sick of my camera before they leave for their new homes.
I’ve been talking to Zelda’s family in Arkansas. Diane held a meeting with the kids and they have come up with a great and creative selection of names for the puppies. Sofia, the oldest, had most to say about the names, but I am sure the others helped. The boys will be named “River” but in different languages. The girls names will have something to do with “Water”, but not limited to just Rivers. Of course, the new owners will likely change these names, but for now it is an easy way to keep track of who is who in the photos without calling them “Red Collar Puppy”.
They will be:
Tyna- for the first born girl. It means white river, as she has that white chest blaze.
Jafaar – African for Small River. This will be for the tiny little boy
Douglas – Scottish/Gaelic for Black river. This will be the name of the solid bigger boy
Leith – Scottish/Gaelic for Broad River. This will be for the largest boy with the blaze.
Nixie – for the second born girl. It means water spirit.
Numma – for the last girl. Sumerian goddess of the sea.
I think the kids were very creative in the names. The only request I had was to keep it to 2 syllables or less. Sofia suggested one name that was 4 syllables long and a bit of a mouthful for such small beings. She took my suggestion of a shorter name in stride and made some changes to her list. Now we have a nice collection of creative and easy to say names! Well done Sofia, Alondra, and Cristian… and Daniel too even though he’s only one year old and probably didn’t get a vote or have much to suggest.
For those interested in adopting one of these little gems, price for a pet is $1500.00 on limited registration (no breeding rights). If you are interested in this litter, please contact me soon. I have four homes waiting for this litter as of today. These pups should be suitable as performance dogs, therapy dogs, and wonderful pets. The parents are very stable dogs with outstanding temperaments. They will probably be small to mid size as adults (20-25 inches at the shoulders). Contact me at anuttapoodle@aol.com for an adoption application. References required as my puppies only go to the best homes and as forever members of your family.

They are sooooooooo CUTE!!!!! I am so jealous of your kids!!! I have a request to make…..if I may. I was wondering if next time you do a photo shoot of them…….if you could get the white blazes on the two pups! My mom and I have been trying to spot them without success. My mom thinks it on their heads while I think its on their chests! If you could help me prove her wrong that would be great!! MAHAHAH! 😀
I plan on getting individual photos of each puppy tonight. I need Keith’s help for that and he is working now. The puppies ball up when I try to take photos of them alone and without their litter mates. 🙂
I don’t like to do individual photos on day one (yesterday) because the pups need to stay near mom and keep really warm and dry the first 24 hours. When Keith gets home we will weigh them and take photos then for tomorrow’s blog post.
About the camera:…and once my young pup comes home he will become even sicker of MY camera. Thank you for getting him adjusted to “smiling for the camera”! HE ! HE ! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!
