I have come down with a massive rash.  It covers my legs, arms, and is now traveling up my neck and torso.  I thought last week when it started on my arms it was poison ivy.  I checked the yard and sure enough there was a patch growing.  We had just arrived back and I knew by the location dogs walked in it and then got on me.  I have ‘issues’ with poison ivy.  Keith pulled it up, he bathed the dogs, we washed everything in hot hot water (sheets, blankets, dog beds, all clothes, etc), but it continued to progress.  Keith believes my body is over reacting to the original poison ivy.  Maybe due to my ongoing stress levels with family health and the fact that I spent 3 months working hard with almost no time off.  I was on a 5 day round of steroids, but it wasn’t enough to do any good.  Now I am on a very high dose round of steroids, maybe for the entire month.  I’m also on a very sedating antihistamine.   At least I can sleep without wanting to rip my skin off.  The itching in incredible.  Today was the best day I have had in a week, even if I did sleep most of it.

Not to be tacky, Here is a photo of one side of my leg.  The insides are far worse, almost solid red all the way up.   There are also baseball size patches on my lower legs.  Yeah, that’s right, I’m going back to bed.  I answered one emergency email today.  Remy is sick!!  She is a 9 year old Merlot x Sadie puppy.   Not sure what yet.  Owner was extremely vague and I asked for detailed information on the problem.  That is all I have the energy to handle, but I will make a post on her as I know more.  Don’t expect much more from me for a week or so.
