Life With Poodles

Taking time for what’s important

I shared this yesterday on Facebook, but I also thought it had a place here. During this holiday season, take time for the things that matter and let the rest go. CHEERS!

It has been busy, stressful, and even more chaotic than usual around this house. One thing after another for weeks and there is no end in sight. Today the kids looked at me as I am baking pie crust and boiling the turkey brine and said: “Mommy, lets play music and dance!” At first I thought, no, let’s not. I’m to busy. If I had any time I would just go take a nap. Then I though what am I most thankful for during this holiday season? Of course that answer is my kids! Time to build on that relationship, not distance myself with 1st world baggage.  If they want to dance, lets dance. Better yet, lets video it so I have something to note this time in their life, when dancing with Mom is the most fun ever.

So, here ya go. This is what the kids and I did today until we were all to tired to move. I have only subjected you to a small portion of the entire video, but the last half includes ALL the dogs getting into our fun. At first the new Rescue dog Sasha was just laying on the couch thinking we were crazy people. Then we added in Flash, who showed her dogs can dance to! Last we brought in Jazz and the teenager Poodle we are dog sitting, Selah. By the end Sasha thought the concept of dancing was rather entertaining! In short… 4 dogs, 2 kids, and one very thankful Mom!
