Life With Poodles

Libby Update

Libby (Anutta Lady Liberty) was from our Zelda x River litter early this year.  Libby is co-owned by Sue Braaten in MN, where she is working on both AKC performance sports and UKC conformation.  Sue sent me an update a few weeks ago and I am just now getting around to posting.

Hey Becky,
Here are a few pictures of Libby and her ribbons from her first UKC show. The show was on Dec.1st and 2nd.  She did such a great job!  There was only one other standard poodle in the show.  He was one of Jen Anderson’s dogs.  He is already a grand champion.  So we won First in the puppy class and Best female in all four shows.  Then Jen’s male won best of breed in all four and had one Group 2 win.  So we had some wins but no wins with competition.
Jen offered to let my daughter use her dog for Junior showmanship.  So both of my girls were able to compete on the second day.  They had such a fun time.  Eve got first place in her first show and second place in her second show with Black Jack.  Sarah got third place in both shows with Libby.  We hope to compete again soon!  I’ll send you a few pictures of the girls too.
On Dec. 6th Libby earned her CGC!  We will be starting a novice class soon and we will be doing some rally this spring.
I also included some pictures of the dogs in the SNOW!  We got nearly a foot of new snow today!  Libby was full of snowballs in about 5 minutes.  She loves the snow.  She came inside and got a cool bath to melt all the snow off her legs.  🙂
We have had a busy week, but it’s been lots of fun!
Hope you had a great time a Disney!

We love the cute photos, especially the snow ones as we are stuck down in TX with no hope of such fun.  🙂
I have a lot of things I need to post as for as doggy updates from family’s across the US.  I’m going to try to get a few out this weekend, but don’t expect much from me until the first week in January.  Things are rather busy, as I am sure it is with most families during the holidays.
