Sasha the Rescue and CERF’s on our dogs.

A quick update on Sasha.  She is doing amazing.  This is one of the sweetest and easiest dogs I have ever taken in.  She has quickly learned the house rules and abides by everything.  I can’t say enough great things about her.  She has almost no mental baggage.  It is clear she was loved by her past owner, just a little neglected when they fell on hard times.  I applaud them for seeking a new home for this great girl.  It was absolutely the right decision.  Please contact me if you are interested in adopting this wonderful girl!!!!

Today I took Flash and Jazz down to Austin to have their eyes tested.  Heather McQuiddy drove up from San Antonio to met us there with Quincy boy.  Eye clinics often offer a multi dog discount, so I try to gather as many dogs as I can for the experience.  Poodles were well behaved, not to obnoxious.  I won’t say on their best behavior because Flash did growl a little at Quincy, but that was about it.  Flash has a napoleon complex, of which I am well aware.  He was a good boy once he realized this was a ‘no brawl’ zone.  All the dogs were fabulous for the doctor and left the experience tails up and wagging.

This is the first eye testing I have done since OFA took over the CERF database.  The new OFA forms for eye certification are much easier to fill out than the old CERF forms.  If nothing else comes of the merger, that is a great improvement.
